Does anyone have any good pictures of the drag link end of a manual steering relay rod? Trying to figure out the clamp, clamp bolts & nuts, etc and what factory original looks like.

Re: C2 drag link details
Well I am trying to determine if my pieces are original or reproductions. I will try to get some pictures of what I have, but I am in the middle of disassembling the drag link and trying to clean everything up.
My metal sleeve is sort of beat up. If I can determine if its original I will try to save it, but if its a reproduction I might as well get a new one. This one does have a mark stamped into the underside of it.
The bolts and nuts are zinc, but again not sure if their original. I don't know what type of locking nuts were originally used, but these are nyloc so I figured they were replacements.
All the steering linkage is dirty and greasy, but look like everything was painted black, which I thought was how it came from the factory.- Top

Ok here are a couple of pics of the bolts and nuts I have, and the stamp on the back of the metal sleeve. I figured the factory would of had used a stover type nut for a locking nut instead of nyloc, but who knows.- Top

Re: C2 drag link details
Jeremy, I looked at my hardware and they are like yours. I am still not sure on the black out on the the drag link and the joint, as I took my 63 a part and had no black out on these the car was never apart on my car til I restored the car and still retains its original inspection marks from the factory. just a lot of grease was collected on these parts over the years, there was signs black out on the tie rod sleeves and tie rods.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top
