Dash Insert Article

Probably about 2 years ago there was an article in "The Restorer" on installing a new 58-62 dash insert. Does anybody know what issue that was?

Here is one article on the topic; also on the Wilcox Corvette web site they show how to make a special tool to install the insert when the dash pad foam is tight (e.g. new pad install); I've never needed it though.

Its not that tough a job; if you're careful not to dent the new insert !!

Roger...that topic doesn't ring a bell, and I just checked all the issues I have done since taking over in 2008 and didn't find anything...I also checked the complete CD and came up empty too...only articles I've published on C1 dash were two about making the cut out for the power top switch and one other, although not the dash insert, the glove box lock assembly between the seats...Perhaps someone will see this thread and write an article that I can include in a future issue!

OK...I stand corrected...I was using the incorrect term when I searched the CD and there is a great article by Joe Calcagno that can be accessed here...

Thank You Frank and Vinnie. That is the article that I was looking for. I had the issue of the Restorer, with the article, set aside some place. But of course, now that I wanted to look at it, it was no where to be found.
