    C3 Steering Coupler

I have searched many threads regarding the various chronological changes made to the C3 steering coupler. Lots of very complete information mostly provided several years ago (2007-2008). My question relates to the current "old stock" of p/n 7818568 and if during/after the Saginaw Steering restructuring/outsourcing there might be a change where 4 ply construction could be mixed with the correct 7 ply construction or other changes to this part. Also for a very late build 1972 (s/n 25,600) the proper coupler would be 7813351 (with screen), but actually 7818568 would be nearly identical when positioned in the installed position. Lastly, did all 7818568 couplers have red inspection markings (production and service) and what does a yellow inspection marking signify on other steering couplers?
