    57 seat tags

White tags are off 57 #2141. Black tag is what I'm used to seeing, especially in 61-62. That came off some 57 seats I bought some years ago.

What is the significance of the date?

Mike, FYI, my 57 (#4122) are like your white ones. McInerney Spring and wire Co., and were on the bottom cushions. They appear to be original. They pre-date the car build date significantly. 10.31.55.

      Mike,

Black tag on back of seat in '57 & cloth tag on seat bottoms.

        Gary,
That wasn't the case on these. The white tags were attached to the uppers on this car. The part numbers are the same--does that mean it is for the entire assembly? If so, was there a tag on both upper and lower or just one or the other? Did McInerny make the entire seat assembly, or just the frames? Were the seats upholstered at St. Louis? Thanks

          Mike,

When I get home on Friday, I'll check my notes, etc.
