Mystery hole in Trunk of 61

I have two hole that look to be factory hole in the rearward base of the fiberglass braces in the trunk. The car is an FI Big Brake car. I'm blasting to prepare for paint and these holes became apparent when surfaces were clean. They are on both right and left side.

      Jerry,
What did you use for blast media? The stripped fiberglass looks.

My guess, and it is a guess, for air lines or valves to air shocks. Back in the day "Gabriel Hi-Jackers" air shocks gave the raised rear hot rod look/style people liked.
