70-72 Convertible w/ ac Interior

Hi,
70-72 convertibles with a/c used a small 'cover' (3954504) that was attached to the right side shifter console extension 'panel' (3954502) using 2 screws. UPC C60, Sheet A5, Item 9.
Is this the same part as used for 69 convertibles with a/c?

Yep. Sure was Alan, but part number 3954504 wasn't for the part itself but for the chart showing the different part numbers for each color.

In 1969 the cover was used on more convertibles then just those with A/C. Early in the model year it was used on all convertibles to cover up a stiffening brace. Later in the model year the brace configuration was changed on non-A/C cars and the cover was no longer needed and removed.

It appears from looking at the 71 AIM that the cover was used just on a/c convertibles as you suggest.
