Cracked shift boot...time to replace. In the AIM page G80, E3 the diagram shows eight screws holding the trim plate in place. Is that about it. Remove eight screws, shift ball and T handle then remove retainer and replace. Is there anything else involved with this procedure? Am I noticing in the AIM two different screws retaining the trim plate #9414752 & #9414753? Mine is a A/C car, is removal of the right side duct necessary to access the right side screw closest to the firewall? Any and all advice is welcome and asked for. Thank you all.

Re: '67 trans control lever trim plate
Leif,
I believe the page in question is:
UPC 1 ASM
Sheet E3
Items 2 & 8
I usually also remove the side trim panels (item #3 on sheet E2) for an easier remove of the console, plus I put the trans in either 2nd or 4th gear.
You may have to remove the right side a/c duct for the last screw, my 67 does not have a/c.

Don,
Thank you for your response. That is the same page I was referring to (mine is numbered across the top of the page "G80". I appreciate the helpful hints, as well.Leif
