1988 35th Anniversary replacement seat covers - what is the correct color?

Apparently GM used two different leather colors for the seats in the 1988 35th Anniversary. In the CA catalog they are 88 Anniversary (Code 77) and 92-93 White (Code 83) - these have also been called bone white and arctic white. My seats were redyed years ago to a bright white so they don't make a good reference. The upholstery guy pulled back the leather to reveal one spot that was missed during the re-dye and thought it was close to the Code #77 "cream" color. He also thought the door panels were a reasonable match to the #77. Someone else stated that most of these cars had the arctic white seats (bone used at the end of the production cycle).

My sequence number is 1756. Does anyone know which is the correct original color? Live close to Englewood,FL and have a 35th that I can look it?

I bought a 88 aniv. new and all of this model were made at the same time - all came with artic white interiors. However over a short period of time a problem came up with body parts and interior sections turning a light tan ( or bone ) Body parts were mostly around headlamp openings and interiors were mainly on doors. I used mine only for car shows and did not have a problem. I did get to see a few with the tan coloring at some shows. After I sold mine I did hear stories that the problem was the engine hoses giving off some type of fumes that lead to the tan coloring and the fix was replacing the hoses. Twenty five years later all I remember was all the work trying to keep those white rims free of brake dust - which was the main reason I sold the car.
