    1967 Caliper Resleeve

I have a set of original 1967 calipers that need to be re-sleeved. I would like to send them off and only have them re-sleeve the calipers. I do not want them to rebuild the calipers, just re-sleeve and return so that I can repaint them and mask off the machined areas. I have a correct set for my 1969 but do not want to have the rebuilder information stamped on them. I did contact one of the larger companies and they were not interested. Maybe a smaller shop would be a better choice? Any name of a shop that would do this work would be appreciated?
    Thanks Steve

Steve, have you tried Lonestar calipers from Texas?

You can try Richard Fortier. I know he is now doing sleeving, but not certain if only for master cylinders and wheel cylinders, or if he is including disc brake calipers. Worth a call.

Also Apple Hydraulics and White Post are a few others to try.

FWIW, Vette Brakes will resleeve and return to you the same calipers. You can also request that they be done in black paint. Based on my experience you can relatively easily remove the paint from the machined areas and have raw metal if you really wish.

FYI I painted the machined areas with a steel colored paint on a car I prepped, and it passed through judging. So, there are other ways to make it "look" right.
