    C2 Ball Joint and judging

I am using near NOS upper ball joints and plan to rivet them in as original.

For my lowers, I purchased AC Delco "assembled in the USA" from RockAuto. These will not pass muster as for as the lower shaft/taper without threads.

My question is, should I go ahead and rivet the lowers? Will that save me any deducts, or since they are not configured as originals am I wasting my time to rivet them?

    Thanks,

    Don

Rivet them. Under CDCIF format you need the I for installation to be correct

Don, Keith is correct , and make sure the Rivets and facing the right direction. take a pic with the I-PHONE or camera. Under the CDCIF the dedect would only be a configuration, about 1 point small compared to NOS lowers prices for the lowers,

        OK, thanks.

I removed old rivets from the uppers and lowers.

As far as I can tell, the lowers had the head on the inside and was set/crushed on the outside. Whatever St. Louis used produced a nice rounded end.
