    By looking at the picture that Frank posted of the arm. The arm looks like it has a bushing in it that pivots on the pin.Another way to tighten the pin is to take a ball bearing a little bit bigger than the hole, lay it on the hole, and hit it with a hammer. Do both sides of the casting and it will tighten the hole evenly and should hold the pin in place. Make sure you support the casting before you hit it so you don't brake the casting off.

      That's an old timers trick Paul. Haven't heard that for a while.
      Problem with the 271 is this. You had better get the part installed right the first time as no moving it later. I goofed one time on a 63 FI unit. I I used the 271 on the T fitting on top of the main diaphragm cover. Huge mistake!!
      I was off about one degree as far as the angle goes and I could not budge the fitting. JD
