    in the early 90s there was a car place on, I think hwy 16, between yokota Air Force Base and Yokuska (sp) Navy Base that had vettes, don't remember name. also a lot that carried 50s iron.....they were pricey even by todays standards.

      HA! I remember that place as well. Remember they had about a 70 mustang out front. I used to run 16 from Yakota to Autsugi maintaining crypto on microwave links. There was also a military surplus joint between Hachaoji and Autsugi that had some old jeeps out front.

        You should catch a ride on a bullet train while you are there Stu. 200 mph at ground level is a blast.

          Tracy;

          That's coming up soon. We were going to go to Osaka and Kyoto today from where we're staying in Nogoya, but rain was too wide spread and heavy to do much touring. Did the Toyota Musuem tour instead as well as the Nogoya Castle when the weather improved.

          Did you know the first Toyota (da) prototype was based on a reversed engineered 1933 Chevy 4 door sedan?

          Did see. Black C-6 in a parking lot today. Kinda made me feel right at home, Ha!
