Francis, the quickest, easiest and least expensive step is to remove or replace the the thermostat. If you remove it and the temp is fine then install a Robertshaw 330-180 thermostat. There is a thread in the last week on Robertshaw. Is there an air pocket somewhere?

    Good Luck

Keith, good point. Use an IR gun on the sending unit and see where it is.

No use throwing parts at it when we all know how accurate the mid year temp senders and gauges are

First, what engine combo did you have in a C-2 that had a copper radiator???

Don't know of any combination from 63 to 67 with a copper radiator! If it's got one, get rid of it!

Get an aluminum radiator from Dewitt with an electric fan and end your cooling problems. He sells a nice combination of two fans with a fan shroud that's perfect for your application. He has one for either a BB of SB radiator support.

PS. Just remembered the 66-67 BB had a copper radiator. Memory slipping! Still, get rid of it!!!!!!

With the engine running and cold open the radiator cap. That will burp the system.

If it was fine and then not, in addition to air also be sure the wire didn't fall off the temp sender and ground itself. If you verify the temp with an IR gauge and it's fine, then think wire/sender/gauge.

Have you verified that the VAC is connected to a full time vacuum source and the VAC meets the Two-Inch-Rule?
