Re: need carb date help please
Paul, you may want to tell us what exact motor you have in your car. A 390 smog car having a 3815 carb will be a rare carb that's not pulled off the rack with regularity, whereas a 3810 that's applicable on all 300 and 350hp non smog cars were much more used. The 6 month window for judging is one thing, but actuality/reality is another. Let us know what you got and maybe we can assist. By the way, welcome aboard!!!!!!!!! ARA- Top

Re: need carb date help please
Paul,
Which engine do you have? I can't speak to 67's specifically, but in general the small block dates are closer together. I have a 66 L72 (427 / 425), the carb is dated pretty close (maybe two weeks prior) to the engine assy date (which is probably more important than the car assy date in this case).

Re: need carb date help please
I think I've read somewhere that Holley carbs were produced in large batches so the dates are kind of all over the place.
Is there any real data out that supports that?
To my knowledge anything between 6 months prior and a few days before the build date would be acceptable.
