    A-Arm Bushing removal

Do you have any good way to remove the a-arm bushings. Is the cross shaft natural or were the a-arms dip painted on a 71? Were the brake splash shields gold or silver my books say both ways on a 71.

Per suggestions in previous threads, I used an air chisel at just the right angle and it took about 5 minute per arm.

Sprayed a little PB Blaster and with the air chisel they popped right out.

We had a large vise to clamp them in while knocking them out. Take precautions when using vise to prevent gouges in the a arms.

            Hi Lyle,
I believe on 71 model year cars the front brake shields were typically plated dull silver and were stamped with a part number and an L or R.
            Regards,
            Alan
