Denver National W/O vendors??

The Denver National was excellent...my question is where were all the parts vendors and why Hendrich Motersports did not show?

I was told by one vendor that $200.00 was to high to pay for a show . And that most of the people there already had the parts they needed ????

The better question is Where were the PAID NCRS vendors?

I heard from Rick's people in Charlotte a few weeks ago, they can't sell cars in Colorado because of local laws, so Hendrick Performance would not be there. I am at a loss to explain why NCRS was not there selling apparel, hats, judging guides, etc. like all the other Nationals I have attended.

You should be able get that answer from your regional NCRS rep. after today's meeting. I am sure this was brought up for discussion.

A friend of mine called bragging that his buddy bought parts from a VENDOR at the national. For example: He bought a 63 to 65 FI plenum lid for only $200 bucks. Now that was a deal. Where was this vendor set up you ask. I have no idea.

Penske is the primary dealer in Denver. Hendrick has none close by so as a common courtesy, Hendrick Automotive decided not to put on a big splash even though they elected to remain as a Convention and NCRS sponsor

2006 in San Antonio the Texas Chapter had a dealer wanting to display a car outside the Convention Center. The dealer that had the franchise area would not permit the Texas Chapter dealer to "encroach" on his area.

Why are the Regional Meets (with the exception of the Florida Regional) not attended by vendors???? Is the great weather in Florida the attraction, a vacation or is there some other reason. The National hardly ever has any vendors and it's been that way from the beginning. The Florida Regional is iprobably the second largest swap meet of the year. Second only to Corvette Carlisle and gaining on that!

The Arizona Regional in March had several vendors, I bought lots of stuff. The Texas Regional also has vendors selling various items.
