70 lower spoiler "air dam" fitment

Does anyone know if any of the vendors have corrected the fitment issues with the reproduction plastic air dam?

I have been looking for an original for a VERY long time with no success.

I bought a repro a few years ago that I haven't yet installed. Am I due for a surprise?

I bought a repro a few years ago that I haven't yet installed. Am I due for a surprise?

The repro I purchased and installed sometime ago does not properly follow the lower spoiler contour. The Air Dam corners turn up too quickly leaving a good sized gap.

There have been other threads that mention the same problem but not recently. I am hoping that means the newer repros fit properly.

Also they are too thick & the tips are not like the original one.

I bought one recently and it seemed fine. Probably because I don't know any better.

If you can find a old OTC one it is like the original but dose have a part # on the pass. side & the OEM's didn't.

One can use a heat gun and blocks of wood and pressure to manipulate the ends to reduce the curve. But for judging the thickness of material and the bumps from the mold is full indicator on the incorrect side of the air-dam are the issue. If you car is a driver straighten and drive on. At this years Florida Regional friends found 1 used original and 1 new over the counter GM with no part # stamped in it. They are still out there.
