59 wheels date code and correct color

Im helping a friend with a 59 silver Vette. I see the spare has date codes on the wheel but the 4 drive wheels have no dates on them. They were painted silver front and black inside. The judging manual says 59's should be black inside and out. The spare is riveted and the drive wheels are welded. The spare is silver out and black inside. any help would be appreciated. Thanks Richard

Richard, I think the rivets were earlier, maybe 55 was the last year? welded wheels I believe were correct for your 59, there are also other features that also to be judged, I will let a more experienced C1 answer.

This is an original wheel from my 12/58-assembled '59. The wheels are welded dog-bone and all black.
The date code is covered by the tire:

Richard, I have an extra dog-bone welded wheel with the nubs that has been sand blasted and powder coated black if your friend is interested. Have him email me redbird1973@hotmail.com
