Re: Legit Stamping?
Do the numbers match? 'Numbers matching' does not equal original factory-installed engine in many people's vocabulary.
Impossible to give a 'possibly original' answer with paint covering the pad surface and filling the stamped characters.- Top

Re: Legit Stamping?
They match the frame, transmission, and VIN tag. This is a basket case car. The last time it sold had an automatic console in it. But the "CPH" on the block tells me manual. And it now is selling with a manual which the casting date and VIN on the transmission correctly.- Top

Re: Legit Stamping?
If the engine is not in the car (which it appears it's not), now would be the easiest time to get a cloth and some lacquer thinner and remove the paint from the stamped pad. THEN, take another picture and submit for the guru's to look at.Leif
