'64-67 console air distributor (a.k.a "Y-duct") same for C60 and no air ?

They sure look identical. My '65 AIM seems to be missing a sheet (UPC 1, ASM, sheet E3 / E4), where I would expect to see the Y-distrib shown. But according to the page numbering at the top E5 follows immediately after E2.

So, going to the AIM air conditioning section, UPC C60, sheet A2, the distrib. assy. is part # 3846156. Then, going to the Chev parts book (1970 P&A30B), this part lists as being for '64-67, without specifying regular heater or C60, which again makes me think this part is the same for both.

    Agree ?

    Wayne -

Although I can't say with certainty that the same Y-duct was used on heater and A/C boxes, I know why the one on the heater box doesn't show up in the Assembly Manual; it has nothing to do with the E3/E4 issue you noted (my A.I.M. has E3 and E4, and they deal with the wiper and washer system and the wiper blade pattern sweep specs) - the Y-duct was part of the heater box assembly from Harrison, so the plant didn't have to deal with it separately. On A/C cars, the Y-duct was a separate part, installed at St. Louis (must have been a shipping damage issue).

The AC Y duct that came with the AC car I just restored has the same Y duct as the non air cars

There is only two Y ducts and that is the 63 and then the 64-67 that came on ALL Corvettes regardless of AC or not!
