Weatherhead was the major supplier of fittings to GM back in the day, the Weatherhead name and/or logo appearing on the fittings frequently.
This included the two brass Tee fittings on Tri Power carbs, the logo a series roll etched vertically in the relief in the center of the fitting, the logo being the familiar large W enclosed within a hexagon. These all had the deep angled relief. See pair at top of attached pic.
When Weatherhead was bought from Data Corp by Eaton in Nov/02 the roll etched series was changed to Eaton, still with the deep relief. (3rd pic from top)
Subsequently, perhaps in 2007, Eaton discontinued manufacturing this fitting with the deep relief. For a time it seems there was a much shallower relief used (bottom pic).
From all I can see presently the usual aftermarket Corvette sources only have fittings with no relief at all. Further, the supply of NOS Weatherheads in the broader marketplace appear to have pretty much dried up.
Thus the only correct Tri Power fittings are those with the deep relief and Weatherhead roll etched logo.
