    67 L71 alternator pulley numbers

The alternator pulley on my L71 has P/N 3829387 AI on the front side. However, if I understand correctly, in the TIMJG under pulley configurations page 146, the GM# is shown as 3829193 for the RPO L71 427-435 HP. The correct reproduction have #3829387 AI. My car has received a Top Flight and no points were deducted for the pulley. I'm asking because something is going on with the finish on my pulley and I would like to replace. Will someone please shed some light? Thanks.

If the car does not have power steering, then GM #3829387 is the correct pulley. This pulley has a zinc plated finish.

The GM #3929193 is used for L-71's with power steering.

      Joe

Thank you very much. I was unable to determine that from the TIMJG so I will read deeper into the section. Thank you again.

Both pulleys have a 3 5/8" diameter. The offset is the difference.
