Try Ken Bruno Motorsports. I've gotten a few from him. Nice product.

Don't hate me for this, but mine was restored by Chicago Corvette years ago, and is still looks good and works fine. I have reason to believe they may have their act together again. Their restored carburetors (seen at Carlisle) are the best I have seen displayed by any of the carb vendors - correct in all details and fair prices.

I sent two online quote forms to Bruno and one phone call with no answer. Any one else that does a great job? Thanks

            Re: Restored alternator

Learning how to say no is tough when you are a restorer. But at least the restorer should have the courtesy to return phone calls.
Telling the customer he is in over his head with work so cannot take on the job.
Since I got my new job here my phone call load has increased but not to the point where I don't return phone calls. Even if the question could be easily answered if one were to actually read a manual. Yikes.

Ken does excellent work. He's done countless rebuilds/ restorations for me. I'd try him again.

              Best,
              Dave

John is so right. I have had countless emails and calls into several vendors lately, and still waiting. After several days, I ping them again. If after a few more days I don't get a reply, they go on my "X" list.

Happened multiple times months ago with a electrical rebuilder of fame and fortune. Now forever "X" listed!

Even just a email note saying ".....I got your note, been real busy, gimme a few days and I promise I'll get back to you"...... would be nice.

Jerry - You might try ChevyCool. If I remember correctly, he had some restored alternators displayed at the Regional Meet at Tucson last Spring.
He's listed in the Driveline. Pete

Maybe we should have some type of rating system for the vendors who advertise In the driveline. NO trashing or BS, just reviews on how our members were treated. The board can set the questions: i.e. customer service- returns- quality etc.. WE are all here to help each other. So
we don't need to waste our time with people who don't answer the phone-emails or sell poor quality parts. And again NO trashing just honest reviews. Just a thought.
