The official stamp was added to the document at Cincinnati several years ago as a way to authenticate Flight certificates. Is it hard to believe these were being forged by sellers? There are several older certificates on my wall right now and only one has the gold seal; the others have nothing.

The crooks will stop at nothing to create value which is very sad so it doesn't surprise me that people are faking awards. I was told at the Regional that people are even faking GM of Canada paperwork.

Steve, as you know, if they clone cars to the point that even noted experts have trouble telling they are fake, you can imagine what they can do with paper. Fortunately there are ways to validate paperwork and that should involve contacting GM of Canada, if you are looking at purported Canadian paperwork.

NCRS has an award confirmation document service because there was evidence that flight Awards were being fraudulently presented/claimed.
