Is the master cylinder cap suppose to be yellow(or golden hue) cadmium dichromate or cadmium/zinc? The 67' tech manual and judging guide pg 163 says "The fill cap is stamped steel cadmium dichromate plated with two domes." ???? To me this means it is the std. cadmium dichromate; however, when i see lots of vettes most of them have the yellow/golden hue which technically is the yellow cadmium dichromate. Can someone please clarify this for me.

One more thing: the plated finish appearance of the original caps differs quite a bit from most reproductions, GM later replacements, and original caps re-plated in modern times.
The original finish had a deep, rather dark "goldish" color and was absolutely NO GLOSS. There was no trace of "rainbow" hues often seen in these caps nowadays. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
