    Head lights '67 corvette

Guy, I'm reworking my previously damaged front end and I'm trying to determine what the margins (gaps) should be on the sides and at the back on my flip-up headlight cans.

Bruce, The gap is pretty consistent on all sides at about 5/32". Note: The corners are radius, NOT square cut....

The Assy manual calls for .06 to .20 or 1/16 to 3/16. Stephen's headlamp looks real nice.

They are typically closer on the outside than the inside.

The side to side gap is locked down with the collar and set screw. The top edge is set by the position of the two spherical bearings positioned by the three screws on each mounting.
