    Tom;

    Nice cars.

    I am a former long time Chicago area resident now living in Florida. I've kind of lost touch with the Vette scene up there. S, pardon my ignorance, but what does Mcacn stand for?

    We like aluminum heads too. My son has a fully restored red coupe L-89 that he will have in the Mecum auction here in January (lot #517). We'll see how it does for price.

        Is that the show where they used to have the Gold Spinner Award and Triple Crown?

              Thanks and congrats! How many Corvettes were judged there this year for what they are calling the Concours Stock awards?

                I don't know about the other classes, but for C3s there were 10 judged. Among those was one rubber bumper and 5 L88s.

                  Thanks Terry, that's a pretty good turnout for C3s. There are some bigger regionals that struggle for that many C3s to show up. I guess the judging is s sort of condensed version of NCRS?

                    Standards are the almost the same, but score sheet is a "fill out the dots" like Bloomington Gold.

                      The Triple Diamond is for cars that have a prior NCRS Top Flight and Bloomington Gold.
                      There is also a Concours and Survivor class as well as other classes
                      It is a GREAT show !!!!!

                        Sounds like an interesting show, but like with Bloomington, very geographically remote for me. I'm guessing it is a very crowded venue too?

                          Yes the show attracts a lot of people, but it is close to O'Hare Airport, and reasonable (for Chicago) hotel rates can be had within walking distance of the venue. The hotels' shuttle will pick up people at the airport, so no car rental need be involved.

                              This is a great show, there are all types of cars presented and it's a treat if you like Muscle Cars. The airport is a five dollar "L" ride away from the host hotels and convention center. This show is on the outskirts of Chicago, so it's not real congested. It's always a fun weekend.
