When I disassembled the car I noticed that the 2 outboard plates that hold the bolts to bolt down the seats had fell to the ground as I took removed bolts that hold the 2 rear seat hold downs. I did not notice why, but as I am getting ready to install the carpet and need to install the plates I noticed that the plates never had any rivets to hold them in place. The virgin fiberglass was never drilled out for the rivets, Is this common on early 63s and should I leave it as it came from the factory ?? Thanks Robert

My early '63 (1318) doesn't have anything other than the seat brackets and bolts holding them in place either.- Top

Yes, that is the way it is suppose to be. No need to drill holes and rivet them.- Top
