C2 Headlight telltale light

My '65 coupe headlight hi/low telltale light glows very dimly whenever the lights are on (hi or low) and glows brightly when the hi beams are selected. I have removed the dimmer switch from the circuit to try and isolate the problem further and when powered up, with the lights on the telltale still glows very dimly. Is it possible that I am seeming some bleed over of light from one of the adjacent dash lamps or should I suspect something more may be going on here?

Try turning off the dash lights by completely dimming them on the headlight switch. If the "problem" goes away then you have some bleed

Hi Stephen
Thanks for the good tip. There must be bleed over from the adjacent dash lights because following your suggestion and dimming the dash lights fully down extinguishes the faint telltale light as well. When I take on restoring the dash cluster this winter, I will have a look in that area.
