You know you're bored when you start looking for individual screws. This bracket upper calls for GM screw #9419727. What size is this screw and what does it screw into? The bracket butts up against fiberglass and I can't tell if there is an integral washer behind the 'glass or if there is a threaded hole in the support behind the 'glass. Thanks and Merry Christmas.

Re: '67 upper grill bracket screw
Leif, coincidentally, I just removed that one on the '67 the other day. It's a self tapping/threading recessed/flanged head screw. Don't have the part in front of me but I can get you some details in the morning. it screws directly into the front metal brace. I think it's a 5/16" diameter.

These pics show it in the pile of stuff I removed. Left pic.... above left microswitch, Right pic.... about center.

Re: '67 upper grill bracket screw
Rich,
Thanks for responding. I know how diligently you've been working on your '67. Coincidence you just removed that brace. If I could get an accurate description of the bolt (length, thread, size and finish), I would be most appreciative.Leif

Re: '67 upper grill bracket screw
Here you go Leif....1/4" diameter, not 5/16" like I said above, pics show the rest.

Finish was 'rust'under black paint when I removed it but likely clear zinc or cad, but maybe black phosphate?
