Is it true that rear taillight bezels (?) are unique in each position?

I am preparing one of my Splits (I guess it would be a barn find, as it has been sitting in my barn for 27 years) for the road. I removed the taillights a long time ago, and am having a problem putting them back in! This is one of the last things I need.

Yes all are unique. Odd part numbers on the left, even numbers on the right. Outboard will have more curvature than inboard.

I guess I am missing the left side inboard one. Are these available?? I wouldn't need a new one.

Yes, Trim Parts makes a nice reproduction. You may find a used one somewhere that would better match your others. A new single might look out of place unless you replace them all.

Tracy, thanks for the info. I don't think the shiny one will be noticed at 100 mph

After finishing judging at the Nationals in Denver, I switched my '64's tail lights to the really neat and original looking bright LED sets that Eckler's sells. They are great and much better than the stock bulbs.
