Differential ID Help

Just picked up a lot of several parts, including a rear diff. I was told it came out of a 76, and it has a posi red tag, but would like to confirm the application and ID the ratio. It is stamped LRW 2 8 7 E 1. I assume the date is Feb 8, but is the 7 for 77 or they just did not stamp the 6? Not sure what the E 1 means. All my research material is C-2, so any help is appreciated.

Mike, I will take a stab at it LR Is a 336 ratio,W= is Warren, 287 28th day of 77, E= Eaton,1= 1st shift.

The "LR" code was used for 3.36:1 rear ends from 1971 through 1977. Given the date code, it was originally installed in a 1977 Corvette.
