Pointed End Bumper Bolts

The JG says (p. 102) that the rear bumpers on '62 were mounted with pointed end bolts. Anybody know where I can get these bolts? Paragon, CC, Zip, and Dr. Rebuild carry bumper bolt kits with the correct head markings. But they do not have pointed ends.

What's the head mark? Have you contacted Richard Fortier, Rich Pasqualone, or John Mesisenger? All three have large collections of NOS and/or used bolts.

How about bench grinder and touch them up with a little silver paint.

gene's approach hasn't faild me yet on judging fields(assuming the bolts head markings are correct). mike

What are the GM part numbers of the bolts in question (from the AIM)?

Chris,

Have you tried contacting Rich Pasqualone or John Messenger yet? If you want used bolts then I think you'll find that Rich or John are your best options, presuming you don't want to grind points on regular, flat ended bolts.

Chris, I've used RichPasqualone, numerous times. He's out in PA. He's another guy that know his stuff, with bolts, screws, etc. thanx Rich. John from jersey
