Joe if I am not mistaken there are only two studs in the crescent bumpers. The third is a hex bolt and washer located closest to the fender well.

Saw that after looking at some bumpers in the vette catalogs. My one bumpoer has a threaded stud brazed in where the bolt should go. The question remains, are the two studs press in or welded. they have flat rounded heads and appear as weld in studs probably placed before the brace was welded into the bumper. Just want to make sure what I'm working with as I need to replace one stud.

They were not Brazed . They were studs or bolts with a large flat head pressed in before the little brackets were welded in

I drilled out the brazed studs and square nuts that replaced the threaded holes in the inner bracket and just rethreaded the holes for bolts.A couple of the original studs with the round heads were broken so I cut them of and drilled out the stud after trying to press and tap out the original stud. The flat round head on the back of the bracket was immovable even with hammering a small punch against the flat head after being drilled. I'm getting the impression the studs were lightly tacked rather than pressed, though pressing the studs would seem more practical for what it was, a trim piece, rather than a real bumper. On the center stud where I have the room, I'll make more of an effort to press it out with a clamp and pipe on the back. It's all fun.McMaster and Carr has the round headed studs.
