    1961-1962 Trico Wiper Blade RB-12

I was looking for some direction on the correct RB-12 Trico blades

Is it correct the side of the blade insert is embossed with the Patent disclosures in the sidwall of the rubber above the dots?

    Thanks,

    Joe

Says! Where is spell checker when you need it? My fifth edition says "The non-replaceable rubber inserts have a series of raised dots down each side and a series of patent numbers on one side only. Inserts are 12" long." Hope this helps

Joe I can't see for sure from your photos but you probably should have plastic tips at both ends of the blade. Do some research on that.

RB-12 replacement blades do not come with the end tips and the receiver is incorrect. RB-12-2 is the box that you find the correct blade with the black tips. even if you have a RB-12-2 you need to look at the receiver. up to 58 there is no rivet on the receiver clip. up to 60 there is a patent number on clip and a small release. 61-62 has no patent number on clip and a long release.

Joe, here is a new nos Trico blade in the box and it shows the orientation of the dots and numbers to the receiver. I be no doubt that this is the way it was assembled the factory. Hope this helps. Eric
