Goldline tires, when can they be used in 1965 and 1966

Want to buy a set of gold line tires to use for a 1965 and a 1966 for judging. Have not received the new 65 manual, can some tell me when gold line usage started in 1965 and did it run through 1966 or did it stop in the middle of the year?
Also thinking of the Kelsey 775-15 Goodyear power cushion, is this still a good choice?

The Goodyear is a better looking tire because it appears wider. I have never measured the tread width of the Firestone vs Goodyear but because of the design, the GY looks wider. As far as I know they ran through the 66 model. I've never heard different. Don't know about 65.

The wording is very vague. It mentions that goldlines were scheduled to be released at the beginning of production but were delayed due to tire stowage problems. No guidance given beyond that. Seems that many believe they were introduced around January 1965 if I recall correctly.
