Differential HD Side Yoke U-Joint Cap Bolts

What would be typical head markings for the bolts that secure the U-joint end caps on a '69 427/390 car? I also haven't been able to find the GM part number for these bolts. I believe the part number of the yoke is 3872922 and the part number of the end cap is 3872909.

Floyd, from the AIM (UPC L36, sheet B7, item #2), the part number for the bolts was 180126 and it was used on a TON of stuff from the 1940's on! Maybe even earlier than that!

I'm sure most of the vendors sell them, but HERE'S a place that has a really good picture (also attached). However, that's just ONE supplier. There were more as shown in THIS THREAD.

Thanx Ed, that helps. Apparently 180126 was replaced by 456656.

        Floyd,

One of the more typical logo's is WB, but there are several that are acceptable such as: TR, M, & A. I like to refer to the logos as the "GM family of hardware". This hardware was utilized throughout the GM line. What is key is that they are grade 5 (3 lines) and are plated silver cadmium. The bolts that attach the wheel hubs on the other end of the half shafts are grade 8 (5 lines) and are plated black oxide. Hope this helps.
