    65 water pump, correct ????

Hey Guru's, I'm doing a radiator replacement and have a few questions. I've got the old brass replacement radiator out of the car in order to install the coveted restoration Dewitt's 941. I'd like to be sure I have the correct water pump since I'm right there at it. I've attached a couple pics hoping it will reveal if it's correct or not.
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated !

        John------

Absolutely not correct. In fact, this is not even a GM waterpump; it's an aftermarket casting.

I assume the engine is either a 250 or 300 HP since there is no bypass hose and the manifold looks to be cast iron. In that case you need a waterpump with a GM casting number of 3782608. This is an easy casting to find---millions were made. However, if you want a date-correct example, it will be a bit harder to find.

That's what I was afraid of. Yes sir, it's a 300hp A/C car. Any suggestions on locating a correct unit ? The block date is May 7th with an engine build date of May 10th. Any help from anyone would be super. I'd like to try and get it back together before the car turns 100 years old.

Bill Mock who advertises in the Driveline and can also be contacted through this board is the "King of Waterpumps". I'm sure he can fix you up with a date-correct, properly rebuilt, 3782608 casting waterpump.
