Wayne, I can tell you the current reproduction tires all vary in size diameter, But the BFG silvertown just fits and you may have to let a small amount of air out. I also believe the faces only were painted on all wheels with black wall tires. Some overspray on the backsides where ever the opening are in the wheel.

My original owned 63 convertible came with black wall tires and body colored wheels (all 5). My original U.S. Royal spare 670x15 is still in the tub and has never touched the ground.

I had an original spare in my tub for Lakeland judging last January -- it fits fine. Aftermarket repros and generic tires will have the tub lid cracked open maybe a 1/2" due to their modern profile. I run an S-10 compact spare in my tub so that it will close all the way....
