On our '66, I noticed a modest amount of corrosion around the wiring attachments and underside of the power window switch. Would appreciate any advice on how best to clean it up and apply any type of preservative. Thanks in advance!

Mark,
If the harness connector is badly corroded, replacements are available that can be spliced in. Those connectors are specially assembled and I don't think they can be repaired easily. The only thing I could think of is a soaking bath is a gentle solution, maybe baking soda in water. I used to clean corrosion on Lucas Electric connectors using that. Then a good drying out with compressed air.

The switches have a cast metal housing that is crimped to hold the internals and would be difficult to open up without damage.

When I did my frame off I used my sonic cleaner to clean my connectors and wiring. It was a bit of work and had only one disapointment. It took the ink lettering off of my fuse block and I had to get another. Everything looked new when done.
