I have a 1988 35th Anniversary that I'm taking for FL Chapter Flight Judging next month.
Things that I know are wrong:
have Goodyear Eagles that are as close a match to the originals as I could find
have a new Delco battery that is as close a match to the original as I could find
don't have the baggie that the model car came in (but I have the car)
don't have the delivery cassette tape (but I have one from Elvis to use in the player)
don't have 2B1 Guide headlights (but still looking for these)
have Supsa brand rear hatch struts that are close to the originals (sending the originals out for rebuilding today)
a few minor items but I have the parts ordered to make them prettier
I have the original floor mats and they look fairly good. Paint looks good. New seats that are the correct color and have the sewn in logo (the old ones were beyond repair). The lower engine is dirty but I cleaned off the engine pad and it's numbers matching. After many hours of picky repair everything in the car seems to work right down to every light bulb.
SO - WHAT ARE THE SUGGESTIONS OTHER THAN CLEANING THE ENGINE (which I'll do somewhat once I get my '61 off the lift) ABOUT AREAS THAT I SHOULD CONCENTRATE ON. THAT IS, WHERE DO MOST OWNERS LOSE OF POINTS?
