Is there any cost advantage to providing the body shop the paint for a complete repaint? If so, how can I obtain Bridgehampton blue?

Re: Paint
A good body shop would probably not want to use your paint.
Their responsibility is to prep and prepare the car and to source the materials.
If the paint you supply does not turn out like you expect to, who makes it right?
It was your paint.- Top

Re: Paint
I agree with Bruce, the paint shop will want to source the paint. They really need to anyway because the color needs to be compatible with the system chemistry they're using: thinners, reducers, catalysts, solvents, hardeners, and primers. If you buy your own color, you'll need to buy the rest of the system too. In addition, you'll pay a high retail price for the paint whereas the paint shop my get a jobber discount.
Be prepared for some eye-popping paint costs. A gallon of budget line white paint may cost over $100 and a gallon of white in a typical name brand line may cost over $400. If you have a red car, expect to pay double or triple that! It's easy to spend $1,000 on paint alone to do a Corvette.- Top
