    Oval briggs & stratton keys

I have oval Briggs & Stratton keys for my 64' with a four digit code stamped into the keys (9310). What does the code refer to ECT ?. Is there a log or something for these numbers. Thanks in Advance - John Dumas #28024.

    John,

The 4-digit numeric code translates into the six key cuts for your key. The code to key cut information can be found in Curtis or other code book, generally meant to be restricted to locksmith access.

For '64, however, the correct key for your car is an octagonal one, not an oval or 3-lobed one.
