Possible Purchase 66 Convertible

I am looking at two cars for a driver. Hemmings ad# 1833313 located in Virginia which was recently sold at Mecum auction May 2012 and then Hemmings ad#1816645.

Does anyone know anything about these two cars?

Is there anyone I can pay to inspect these two cars if my level of interest increases.

I don't know where in VA the cars are located but.... a few years ago when I was searching for a C2 I hired Tony from Tony's Corvette Shop in Gaithersburg MD to inspect a few cars and give me a report. I have to tell you, Tony is passionate and extremely knowledgeable about Corvettes, especially C1s & C2s. Not cheap but he saved me a lot of money and headaches. On his recommendation, I declined two cars I had him inspect. He was very responsive and gave me a full written and verbal report and loads of pictures. I said he was passionate about Corvettes - I called him, left a message, he called me back the same day, early evening, we talked for almost an hour, no charge. BTW - I have no financial interest in this recommendation, I just felt he did a fantastic job for me.

Talked with Tony, it might be too far for him.
