63 interior rear view mirror. survey

Have a question regarding what I have in my 2nd week of nov. car. It the original to the car, never changed,it has the correct date code and no rivets.
According to Noland Adams book it states that there were 4 different versions of these mirrors.
(1) earliest one being double crimp around the mirror with 2 rivets.
(2) somewhere around 2500 single crimp around mirror with 2 rivets
(3) same mirror with the rivets spaced differently.
(4) no rivets but was used thru out the run as needed. This is what I have in my car. Anyone else have this one.

Gary,

Have had several Coupes and one Convertible ranging from 8,XXX. 10,XXX, 14,XXX, 17,XXX. Only the 14,XXX had a crimped SS back with two rivets. All the others were pot metal and no rivets on those at all.

Apparently you did not find the result you wanted in my response on the Corvette Forum that there was another mirror listed in the AIM as
"optional", thus indicating whatever mirror was in the bucket, was what your car got. That's okay, because NCRS apparently doesn't like it either.

I took a hit on my original mirror on Sunday. They said that the mirror I have could not have been used on a 2 week of nov. car ?
