63 Heater HOse Bracket / Alternator Bracket

My 63 Roadster (No AC) is missing the heater hose bracket that mounts to the exhaust manifold directly behind the alternator. I purchased two different repro types and both were painted black. It was my understanding that the bracket should have had a twist to it. I ended up getting a used original and was hoping someone could tell me if what I received is correct. It does have a twist and is either painted or galvanized. Sometimes these intentional twists look like they have been bent but the part does appear to be good.

    Thanks

The bracket looks as if it has the original twist but someone bent the heck out of it. I'm sure someone will post a picture of an original. It mounts to the alternator bracket not the exhaust manifold.

Yes, the horizontal bottom alternator bracket. I though it was bent but wasn't sure. Easy enough to fix and definitely better than the repro's. I was also curious about the finish but I probably track that down from pictures in the JG or Restoration manual.

The original CLIP was GM # 3828920 which was replaced with GM # 3825416 as shown in the 2 photos below. The 3828920 clip had a bend on the bottom part so it mounted with an offset, if that makes any sense.

There is the letter "S" stamped right on top of the letter "A" on my 3825416 clip which must be the logo of the manufacturer..
