    Fan Clutch experiences

Looking for comments on the form, fit and function of the repro Schwitzer-style fan clutches manufactured (?) by K&B Special Products. (I know they are not stamped with dates, patent number & the like - don't care). All the usual suspects seem to be stocking them now, and at a considerably lower price than typical old stock 3916141's Eaton type or 3814560 Schwitzer type.

    Thanks in advance.

I put one on my '63 for Lakeland judging last January. It is a nice piece and worked well.
I will say that the printed text on the rectangular front piece "THIS SIDE UP" seems to wear off quickly - perhaps some clear coat would help...

I brought my reproduction fan clutch from america's finest out of California. and has work out just fine, I have a feeling someone is making them and selling to all the Corvette venders.

i purchased one about 6 months ago.

          looks real nice, works great.
only observation - it fully engages at a low temp (maybe 160-165) my original seemed "all in " around 175 or so..
          otherwise - excellent repro!

I stacked it next my low milage original - someone did their homework for sure.

Bill, I think the one I got says it is engaged at 180. have not checked that though.

i got mine from Vol Vette.
              same unit everyone is selling.

I use an IR gun to see when it would kick in.

I have almost decided to take the metal plate from my original and swap it to the repro one.
