Terry, One thing for sure is that the bumper braces tend to bend easily, so I'd image your bumpers themselves are good. Those welded brackets are quite tough to move.

I've found that the braces always need some bending and adjusting for better bumper fit, so it may have to wait until the re-chrome is done to get a better idea of the adjustments needed.

ps here are a few photos of a '59 set I had to "adjust". It's a pain, as you have to remove and refit for every adjustment. After much bending and flattening, they were fine. All adjusting was done prior to bodywork and paint.

Rich is right on. If you look at the exterior and see nothing tweaked, the integral brackets will be straight.
