    1972 Fuse Block Photo Needed

For a 1972, does anyone have a photo of the firewall side of the fuseblock on an out-of-the-car wiring harness that they can post. New, used or reproduction should be OK.

I need to see that portion of it that accepts the 1/4" bolt that passes into it from the engine compartment and keeps the headlight and engine harnesses held in place.

I would imagine that 1968 through 1976 or so would be similar enough to be helpful to me.

    Thanks.

Moving this back up in case there's someone who can assist. Thanks.

      Larry:

I found this site (dedicated to documenting the frame off of a '71 NOT a '72!!!)..... Maybe it will help?

The photos are good but not close ups and there is a ton of dirt on the connectors..... here is the link:

      Hope this helps a bit...

      Regards
      Bill

        Bill,

Thanks very much; that's a helpful look at what I need.

The entire site itself is fascinating.

If I remember to bring home my camera I can take a picture of my 72. It's original.

That is a good site, I did work on that car for Tim. He has gone into great detail on that car.

Indeed that is a good site to visit.... some really great photos..... A clear photo always helps waaaaay more than a "windy" verbal explanation ever will!!! And this site certainly has a wealth of good photos and explanations!!!

              Gary,

Thanks, I appreciate your offer. If you can do so, please do.

Re-reading my original post, I may not have been as clear as I could have. I need to see the firewall side (or back, I suppose you could call it) of the fuse block, but without the two engine compartment harnesses in place. In particular, I need a close-up, if possible, of the nut area that the harness retaining bolt threads into.

                Hi Larry
Well that is a bit different, I really don't want to play with that connection after all these years. Sorry.

                  Gary,

No apologies needed. I wouldn't ask, or expect, anyone to disturb an existing wiring harness. That was why I thought an out-of-the-car example would be best.

Thanks Larry. I will look through my photos but I don't ever recall pulling that 73 fuse panel out. I might have some of my 69 but I don't know if they are the same?
