1963 Hortizontal Ignition Shield Bracket Color

What color should the brackets that hold the horizontal ignition shielding be? Natural (zinc), black or engine orange. To be clear these are the brackets that bolt to the exhaust manifolds and then use wing nuts to secure the ignition shielding.

Rob, I believe take there were originally Zinc or cad plated, but may have been painted engine orange as the manifolds were on the car, not sure if the brackets were on the manifolds.

Support brackets are pictured in the AIM with part #s, generally indicating installation at St Louis, long after the engine was painted.
